Press Release : Messages of Condolence from the Prime Minister of Thailand on the Shooting Incident in Christchurch on 15 March 2019

H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a message of condolence to H.E. Ms. Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, on the shooting incident in Christchurch on 15 March 2019:

 

Right Honourable Prime Minister,

It is with shock and sorrow that I have learnt of the terrible attacks on the Mosques in Christchurch on 15 March 2019. On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I wish to express our deepest condolences for this dreadful event.

Our deepest sympathies go to the families of those innocent people who lost their lives as well as those who were injured.

In this moment of bereavement, the Royal Thai Government joins the international community in condemning this hideous crime. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of New Zealand during this very difficult period.

Accept, Right Honourable Prime Minister, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
